Allen King Wong, DDS, MS
My profession is not just about straightening teeth but also encouraging and nurturing my patients during their developing years. It is very rewarding to see my patients mature from children into successful young adults and to witness the changes that have taken place in their smiles as well as in their personalities. I love being an orthodontist because I get to create beautiful, balanced, and functional smiles every day.
I credit my son, Dr. Mark Allen Wong, with implementing many of the newest innovations that have been developed in the orthodontic field. In addition to his fresh perspective, I see that my years of experience in treatment principles and tried-and-true methods of orthodontics have been a good blend. One thing remains constant at Wong Orthodontics, and that is our care and respect for each patient.

Experience is important at Wong Orthodontics. Some of our team has been working with us for over 35 years. It has been rewarding seeing them grow professionally and personally. I can tell that our staff enjoys working with patients. We have a truly loyal and dedicated team, and I appreciate the work they do every day.
Outside the Office
I am a native of China and immigrated to American as a young boy in the 1940's, growing up in Los Angeles, California. I currently live in West Covina with my lovely wife of over 50 years, Frieda. We have six loving, grown children, Christina, Melinda, Cynthia, Lorena, Mark, and Stanton. They have blessed us with a total of 15 grandchildren who we love dearly.
When I have free time, I like to fix things around the house. I am a Federal Aviation Administration Aircraft Mechanic, so I’ve always enjoyed tinkering with mechanics. I love to take pictures and video to create lasting memories of my family and friends and am also my church's videographer for weekly services. I enjoy experimenting with the latest in digital photography and videography. My wife and I also ballroom dance and square dance to keep fit.
In the Community
I have spent the last 20 years during my children's growing years as an active member and President of the San Gabriel Valley Chinese Cultural Association. SGVCCA not only introduces Chinese language to children but also the cultural aspects of the Chinese, including lion dancing, martial arts, brush painting, cooking, etc. I helped to establish the Chinatown Service Center which uses private and public funding to provide social services such as transportation, translation, occupational training, childcare, and health clinics to the community of Los Angeles near Chinatown. I was honored by the Chinese Historical Society with the prestigious Community Service Hero Award in 2010. I have also been honored and recognized by the county and state for my years of community service.
